Vice President

Emma Tyers is the Founder and Photographer at Edt. Photography, and with her background as a creative business owner, brings a genuine passion for storytelling, connection and showcasing local businesses to the management committee. 

Tania Venville

Secretary & Treasurer

Tania Venville is a Senior Manager at Moore Australia, and drawing on her senior leadership experience, brings a calm, considered and pragmatic approach to the management committee with a strong focus on governance, financial accountability and sustainable growth. 

Christina Hull

Events & Marketing Lead

Christina Hull is the Founder at The Outsource Boutique, and with her experience building and running her own business, brings energy, collaboration and a practical mindset to the management committee, particularly in creating engaging events and meaningful member connections. 

Katie Kearney

Advocacy Lead 

Katie Kearney is the Marketing Officer at Mylestones Employment, and with her marketing background, brings an inclusive, member-focused approach to the management committee, with a passion for advocacy, engagement and strengthening the SEBCC community. 

Phil Johnson

Governance & Strategy Lead

Phil Johnson is the General Manager at WAMAC Software Development, and backed by his general management experience, brings thoughtful leadership, strategic perspective and a future-focused approach to the management committee.

Women's Network Lead

Amber Simpson is a Financial Planner at Power Financial Planning, and with her background in financial planning, brings a strong focus on education, empowerment and connection to the management committee, particularly through the women’s network.

Jean‑Bernard Fremy is the Founder, Finance Broker and Business Systems Strategist at JBF Solutions, and with his experience across finance and systems, brings clear thinking, problem-solving and practical business insight to the management committee.

A Rewarding Opportunity To Give Back To South East Brisbane

The South East Brisbane Chamber of Commerce is led by a dedicated Management Committee made up of passionate local business volunteers who are committed to supporting the growth and success of our business community. Committee members generously contribute their time, experience and leadership to guide the Chamber’s activities, events and strategic direction. Each year, members have the opportunity to nominate and vote for committee positions at the Annual General Meeting, ensuring the Chamber remains member-driven, transparent and representative of the local business community. This collaborative approach helps keep SEBCC responsive, active and focused on delivering real value for its members. 

 The South East Brisbane Chamber of Commerce (SEBCC) Management Committee is a team of dedicated volunteer business leaders who generously give their time, experience, and energy to support the local business community. Together, they guide the Chamber’s direction, ensure good governance, and help create valuable opportunities for connection, growth, and collaboration among members.

Key Committee Roles

President/Chair

Provides leadership and strategic direction for the Chamber, chairs committee meetings, and represents SEBCC within the broader business community. 

Vice President

Supports the President and assists with key initiatives, helping ensure continuity and progress across Chamber activities. 

Secretary

Maintains records, coordinates meetings and minutes, and helps ensure the Chamber meets its governance and administrative requirements. 

Committee Members

Committee members contribute ideas, expertise, and support across Chamber initiatives, often helping lead specific projects or sub-committees. 

Treasurer

Oversees the Chamber’s finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring responsible financial management.

To support the Chamber’s activities and involve more members in leadership opportunities, SEBCC has established sub-committees focused on areas such as:

  • Events – planning networking events, workshops, and special functions
  • Marketing & Communications – promoting the Chamber, sharing news, and supporting visibility
  • Membership & Engagement – welcoming new members and enhancing the member experience
  • Partnerships & Advocacy – building relationships with community partners and supporters
  • All sub-committees operate under the guidance of the Management Committee and help ensure the Chamber continues to deliver meaningful value to the South East Brisbane business community.
